Minutes – June 17, 2004

Members Present:     Chris Beres, Kathy McAvoy, Jane Scanlon, Kevin Ritchie, Linda MacDonald, Mike Bisson, Laura Cook, Kathy Menard, Bonnie Howells, Peter Fisher, Ronnee Johnston, Jane Disselkamp, David Walker and John Robinson

Members Absent:      Jim Boothbay, Terry Dupont, Jeff Fish

Welcome to John Robinson from SAD 41 who will be joining us next fall.

Coordinator’s Report:          

            Update on fall dates for presenters discussed at June 17^th meeting:

Fred Woodman will start his course on Tuesday, October 5^th at Region III in Lincoln.

Beth Haynes is scheduled for September 24^th, but will talk with us about content for the workshops.

Paige Keeley will work with science teachers September 30 and October 1^st. Topics will be “Topic Studies in Science” and “Assessment for Learning – Useable Strategies to Inform Instruction”.

Jill Spencer will be with us on October 20^th to do a one-day workshop on Differentiated Learning. She will return in January to do a K-6 workshop and a

            7-12 workshop.

Janet Allen will be with us in November to do the “Writing to Learn” workshop. Date will either be November 5^th or 29^th.

Topics to be looked at in the fall include:

            Protocols for book discussions

            Assessment Cooperative

            Data Management and

            HQT

A delicious luncheon was had by all and the NWP adjourned for the summer!
