Members Absent:         Jim Boothby, Mike Bisson, Linda MacDonald

Ellen Simone – Spoke with the NWP about Regionalization and Consolidation of Services. Major focus of talk included Distance Learning and Buying Cooperatives. What can NWP do?

ü      Can we get a statement from the NWP and the Superintendents’ group that we would like to pursue ideas offered by the Penobscot Region Educational Task Force?

ü      Provide the training for Distance Learning

ü      Professional development opportunities

ü      Explore Grant Writer

ü      Community Service

Chris will get SAD 41’s schedule so we can get people over there to see the courses that are being offered.

Fall Events:       The reports from the Investigations and Science Workshops were very good. We have scheduled Beth to come again the end of October. I am waiting for exact dates. We are ready for the next two workshops with Jill Spencer and Janet Allen.

Cathy Menard can give us a report on the 7-12 math meeting. Fred’s 1^st meeting will be October 12, 2004, as he was confused last week. There are 10 or 12 signed up for that.

Newsletter went out and Peter is keeping the web page updated.
